ABOUT ME
TONI CAREY
MARKETER + ENTREPRENEUR +WRITER
Black Girls RUN! is so much more than running. It’s about changing women’s lives inside and out. – Toni Carey
Disruptor + marketer + entrepreneur + catalyst of change.
My passion for health, fitness and servant leadership led to the “accidental” creation of one of the most influential grassroots health and fitness movements in the African-American community called Black Girls RUN!
Since 2009, I have dedicated my career to improving the lives of thousands of women across the country while taking creative and untraditional approaches to getting more minorities outdoors. Black Girls RUN! is not only responsible for the dramatic increase in minorities in the running community, but has also influenced the influx of initiatives and running groups geared towards increasing minority participation in road races across the country.
But my passion for women’s health and the outdoors doesn’t stop there. I’m currently working on multiple projects to ensure women are active and represented in all aspects of the outdoors. I’m always open to collaboration and finding news ways to challenge the status quo.
